Since 2014, Jamie Clark has served Acadiana Animal Aid as Transport Coordinator, ensuring that the transport program runs smoothly and see that the animals from shelters, hoarding situations, puppy mills or homeless animals due to acts of nature are transported to a forever home.
A South Louisiana native, Jamie and her husband and two children reside in Broussard with 2 cats, 3 dogs and a plethora of foster animals. Jamie started as a foster and then served as a board member of St. Martin Humane before transitioning to focus on animal transport. When not working, Jamie and her family enjoy traveling, camping and reading.
WHY IT’S A FAMILY THING?
For Jamie, animals have been a lifelong passion, she said, “Becoming involved in animal rescue was a natural progression for me having grown up with a mother that took in every stray cat, dog or injured bird that crossed her path. My husband and children are heavily involved in fostering as well, we have fostered hundreds of animals over the past 7 years.”
