Acadiana Animal Aid is not only dedicated to helping the animals and the community of Acadiana today, but AAA is also focused on bettering the lives of the people and their animal counterparts of the Acadiana of tomorrow.
Inspiring a healthy community through compassion for animals!

Are Still In The Classroom
…so we thought…
“What better way to educate about animals than to educate WITH animals?”
As a result – our amazing volunteers have developed the following programs:
I Read to Animals
Volunteers and therapy dogs encourage children in grades K-3 to practice their reading skills, without judgment, in our local schools and summer programs. The children get a stuffed animal that they adopt and make a pledge to care for and the books read during these sessions are donated to the school libraries. This program is funded by The Pinhook Foundation and Raising Cane’s.
Making A Difference In Lives
Through these programs we show students not only how they can make a difference to an animal, but how an animal can make a difference to them. Animals love us unconditionally, are never judging us, and want nothing more than a loving home and family. At AAA we see how animals make us better people…we just want to make their jobs a little easier.
